Valve’s former Director of Business Development Jason Holtman, a man greatly involved in the rise of Steam’s popularity, has signed on with Microsoft and will bring his expertise the company’s PC gaming departments. When speaking with Games Industry International, Holtman had this to say:

I think there is a lot of opportunity for Microsoft to deliver the games and entertainment customers want and to work with developers to make that happen, so I’m excited to be here.

Microsoft has put a great deal of effort into their launch of the Xbox One and have been focusing primarily on that platform. This is likely to continue throughout the year and we most likely will not see much news from Microsoft’s PC games department for a while. Let’s hope Holtman is able to bring some exciting ideas to Microsoft in the mean time.
