After years of availability on competing platforms, game consoles, and of course the PC where everything began, Minecraft has made its way to the Windows Phone store.

With the mobile only “Pocket Edition” those with a passion for Minecraft can now enjoy building on the go. After a recent acquisition of parent company Mojang by Microsoft, it’s no surprise to see Minecraft make its way to all platforms of Windows, and the title is available for $7 [USD]. This Windows Phone Pocket Edition is unique over the Android and iOS editions, packing in more PC features such as new biomes, infinite worlds and creatures that can’t be found on the competitive markets.

Minecraft is now available on a plethora of platforms – PC, Max, Linux, Android, iOS, Raspberry Pi, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the announced Windows Phone. No wonder Microsoft shelled out multiple billions for the IP.
