Given the ever-popular MOBA that League of Legends is, it is only fitting to see Riot Games expand as the character roster and support expand with it.

To help support the massive eSports scene behind League of Legends, as well as coming character launches and major patches, the new office space opened in New York city will allow for massive staff expansion.

Setting up in a 5,600 square foot facility, Riot Games will consume the entire second floor of a West 23rd street building near 5th Avenue. For a sum of nearly $240,000 annually in rent alone, this third property in North America will expand Riot’s staff base to a full eight teams world-wide.

Given that the release of it’s latest champion, Lucian took so many weeks, we’re always glad to see Riot adding more staff to the mix, and hopefully more content as a result.
