Activision’s Skylanders franchise will continue to push merchandise to the consumers during the coming release of their next expansion: Trap Team.

Working along side over 175 licensing partners, the Skylanders franchise will showcase themselves in food products, magazines and comic books, among other licensing options. Working with partners such as General Mills, Frito Lay and McDonalds.

While their partnerships are sure to pick up the attention of their target audience, Activision may need to consider expanding with other licensed products aside from their own brand’s expansion. Given the pending release of Disney Infinity 2.0, and their Marvel Comics characters, it’s going to be a tough battle for Skylanders in the coming months.
