Started earlier this month, the Humble Origin Bundle has been a massive success. So far, the bundle has grossed over $9.4 Million on almost 2 million purchases, and all proceeds from Origin and EA go to your choice of six charities including the following:
- Human Rights Campaign
- San Francisco AIDS Foundation
- American Cancer Society
- American Red Cross
The Humble Origin Bundle is a great way to get a few of your favorite EA titles on the cheap, and support one of your favorite charities at the same time.
Pay what you want. On their own, all these mind-blowing titles would cost more than $240, but we’re letting you name your price!
A $1 donation will net you Dead Space, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Mirrors Edge, Dead Space 3 and Medal of Honor Warfighter, and if you donate more than the average, which currently stands at $4.90, you also receive C&C Red Alert 3 – Uprising, Populous, the Sims 3 + Starter Pack and Battlefield 3. The Bundle originally included all of these games minus C&C Red Alert 3 and Populous, which were added shortly after and retroactively awarded to all eligible purchases above the average donation. In addition to the games, which you receive via Origin and Steam codes, you also get the soundtracks to the Sims 3 and Battlefield 3.
With just under 3 days left on the Bundle, and the great price for all the games which include some very popular titles, there is still plenty of time left to donate and save some money on games you may not have yet. The total cost of all games individually is around $240, so the savings are enormous, the games are awesome, and it’s for a good cause.
With some donations in excess of $1,000, including an anonymous donation of $10,000, and the possibility of the total amount raised to exceed $10 Million by the expiration, the Humble Bundle, EA and Origin have done a great deal to arm gamers with fun games and charities with resources towards their respective causes.
