Anyone familiar with the 4 million unit selling Watch_Dogs title since its announcement at E3 2012 knows that there are a few things missing from the presentation two years ago – namely graphics.
Given a few tweaks to the XML files within Watch_Dogs, players can apparently take full advantage of the quality lost from the E3 demo to the “next-generation” graphics of the Xbox One and PS4, with the option on for PC Watch_Dogs players.
Assuming that the limitations of the PS4 and Xbox One hardware are to blame, given the extreme demand for consistent frame rates by consumers, it’s great to see the community working to bring back what was once promised by Ubisoft. Details for the edit on this XML file for maximum graphical performance can be found on the official YouTube video, but the results should speak for themselves. Let’s get a patch, Ubi!
