Out of the box at the E3 press conference, the world has backed into Fallout 76 and Rage 2. What else did Bethesda Softworks announce at E3 2018?

While the world is looking for Bethesda to drop the biggest announcements of the weekend, a major showcase is waiting in the wind. Announced on their own major Press Conference at 6:30 PM Pacific Time, Bethesda gave us a great hour of new content for multiple titles, including the Fallout series. Just ahead of the announcements, the community threw out an overwhelming “why” to the announcement of Rage 2 – a sequel to the largely overlooked title on Xbox 360 and PS3. Looking at more footage of Rage 2 and Fallout 76, the company is looking to make good and push excitement to the fans pushing into the 2018 Q3 sales season.

Themed around the idea of “Create”, Pete Hines kicked off our favorite developer’s press conference by saying that we “create the worlds” that we want to play. Touting updates to Doom, Elder Scrolls Online and tow new titles for Nintendo Switch, Bethesda Softworks spoke on their “top developer” award given to the studio. Starting out with their title first announced “Thanks to their friends at Walmart Canada”, Rage 2.

Rage 2

Open world chaos is the drive pushing Rage 2, Id Softworks and Avalanche Studios during development. “The world of Rage 2 is perfect for our style of gameplay,” as Avalanche looked to design “the most insane open-world shooter you’ve ever played.”

Playing as Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland, Id Softworks and Avalanche didn’t wait to bring us live footage during the conference. Destroyed by an asteroid, mutants have taken over what remains of the Earth, leaving only “hate, fear, and the need for survival”. Packing in a bit of, footage we could see Walker approach the Eden Space Center overrun by Bandits in their seamless open world. The footage itself didn’t largely differentiate from what was available in their announcement trailer. Have a look below for the full footage.

Elder Scrolls: Legends

The Elder Scrolls: Legends will be launching to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Playstation 4. Pumping up the power of the Doom Slayer, adding twice as many Demons, and bringing literal Hell on Earth, Bethesda’s show teased a QuakeCon announcement for the debut of the formally announced title tonight.

Fallout 76

Headed up by Game Director Todd Howard, Fallout 76 stood out as the showcase title during their press conference. “Fallout 76 is a prequel of all the other games”, set in West Virginia with a lush landscape like no other Fallout title before, a new experience awaits you. Each character in Fallout 76 is a real person, “because yes, Fallout 76 is entirely online”.

“First, of course you can play this solo. You’ll be who you want, experiencing quests and leveling up. But also, like many of you we’ve always wanted to see what our games would be like with Multiplayer.” “Open world. Survival. Every person you encounter is real.”

Launching the 14th of November, 2018, get your hands on everything Fallout 76 right after you check out the suite of videos below.

Tap to move or use dual sticks, combat follows your specific movements and timings. Set with hand-crafted and procedurally generated dungeons, the entire title is capable of being played in both portrait and widescreen mode.
